1.Plans and establishes short and long term operational objectives and priorities in consultation with the CEO.
2.Plans, prioritizes, controls, integrates and evaluates the work of all Departments under him to ensure that operations and services comply with the policies and strategic direction set by the management with all applicable laws and regulations.
3.Establishes and maintains standards of projects/operational performance regarding service quality, technological leadership and financial measures.
4.Ensures that consistent operating standards are developed across all departments under operations and approves operational procedures, policies and standards.
5.Reviews the operational priorities and plans, making appropriate adjustments to reflect the changes in internal and external environments.
6.Ensures the provision of operational planning, financial controls and management information systems appropriate to the needs of the projects.
7.Directs the development and monitoring of adopted budgets, projects to ensure operational effectiveness, quality, service, adherence to timeframes and cost effective management of resources.
8.Responsible for the financial accountability of projects, and monitors the key financial indicators and develops strong financial awareness amongst the project team. Reports regularly to the CEO on financial performance and agrees corrective actions where necessary.
9.Directs and oversees the preparation of analysis and recommendations regarding operational policy issues and long-range plans; advises and counsels CEO regarding policy issues to meet community and customer needs; advises and assists CEO in identifying, articulating and implementing policies and programs.
10.Ensures that appropriate Health, Safety and Quality standards are implemented across the operations department as per company standards.
11.Ensures that all staff within the operations department complies with all organization/Government legislation/guidelines relating to conduct, health and safety and quality etc.
12.Ensures a healthy work environment and a process for selection, development, motivation, and evaluation of staff to attract and retain high caliber staff in close coordination with HR Manager.
13.Oversees the development and implementation of continuous performance improvement programs.
14.Regularly reviews and clarifies the functional responsibilities and reporting relationships of Senior Management to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the organization.
15.Evaluates the performance of his direct reports, assesses the training needs of them and prepares a training plan in coordination with the HR & Admin department.
